How much money can I receive as a class member in a securities class action lawsuit?

Video Description

Generally, monetary recoveries in securities class actions consist of a payment of cash that is put in a common fund to be distributed to the class in proportion to the amount of alleged damages that each class member who seeks a payment from the recovery has suffered. The amount of money that you can receive as a class member from the recovery depends on many factors, such as the size of the recovery, the defendant's ability to pay, the total classwide damages, and the number of class members who submit claims for their share of the recovery.
