Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP, Appointed Sole Lead Counsel to Lead Allergan Securities Litigation

On December 7, 2020, United States District Court Chief Judge Colleen McMahon of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York appointed Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP as sole lead counsel and its client DeKalb County Pension Fund (“DeKalb”) as sole Lead Plaintiff in In re Allergan PLC Securities Litigation, 18 Civ. 12089 (CM)(GWG).
 
On September 29, 2020, Chief Judge McMahon declined to certify a class in the case and reopened the lead plaintiff selection process, originally decided in March 2019, providing putative class members 30 days to file motions to serve as lead plaintiff.  Four movants sought to be appointed lead plaintiff and lead counsel. The Court appointed Dekalb as Lead Plaintiff and Faruqi as Lead Counsel as the only movant to have filed within the original sixty-day PSLRA statutory deadline.
