On September 11, 2020, Faruqi & Faruqi filed a consumer protection and false advertising class action against Anheuser-Busch for the deceptive marketing and sale of its Ritas™ Margarita, Mojito, Rosé, and Sangria beverages. The complaint alleges that the packaging of these products leads consumers to believe that they contain distilled liquor or wine, when in fact, they only contain flavored beer.
The lawsuit seeks to address the financial injuries suffered by consumers as a result of Anheuser-Busch’s deceptive practices. The case is docketed as Tanya Cooper, et al. v.
