Faruqi & Faruqi represents a proposed class of direct purchasers challenging a conspiracy, by the leading suppliers of Titanium Dioxide in the U.S. and the world,  to fix prices and allocate markets for Titanium Dioxide, in violation of § 1 of the Sherman Act.  Plaintiffs have alleged that defendants E.I. Dupont De Nemours, Huntsman International, LLC, Kronos Worldwide, Inc., Millennium Inorganic Chemicals, Inc., and The National Titanium Dioxide Company Limited, conspired to fix the price for Titanium Dioxide  in the United States in the early 2000s,  in order to raise the price to supracompetitive levels.  As a result of this alleged conspiracy, plaintiffs paid far more for Titanium Dioxide than they would have in a competitive market.
