Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP Files a Class Action to Recover Unpaid Wages to NYPD Officers Working Paid Details

On June 3, 2020, Faruqi & Faruqi filed a Class and Collective Action in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York against the City of New York, the New York City Police Department, and a number of vendors who collectively engaged in a pattern and practice of failing to properly compensate Police Offers, Detectives, Sergeants, and Lieutenants for the work they perform through the Paid Detail Program and routinely failing to pay them their wages until weeks and even months after their regularly scheduled pay days.  The case is docketed as Pierre v. City of New York, et al., 20-cv-5116.
