Deadline to submit personal injury opioid claim remains in effect despite COVID-19 epidemic

Those who have been affected by the opioid epidemic can submit claims for potential compensation. However, the deadline to submit the claim is currently set for June 30, 2020. If you believe that you are eligible to file a claim against Purdue, you can access our free guide here.

Multiple states who are potential creditors in the Purdue bankruptcy proceeding have asked the Court to extend the filing deadline for individuals to submit opioid claims due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

The Court has yet to rule on any extension.  As such, anyone who intends on submitting a claim  should proceed as though the deadline will not be extended and should submit their claims by the original deadline of June 30, 2020.

We anticipate that the Court will make a decision soon on whether to grant an extension. We will be monitoring this litigation and posting an update once the Court makes its decision.
